The game was so fun!

Thanks for the letters and the news from home. I am glad that you are both feeling better Dad and Mom. That is cool to hear about Hammond's son in law, and Mattie going to Chicago.
So one of the exciting things that will be happening for us on September 10th--President Ahlander announced that Elder Neil L Anderson and Tad R Callister will  e coming to speak to us!  This will be the first time that both Vegas missions will b e together in one place, about 500 missionaries.  We are very excited about it. We are thinking that it has to do with technology of some sort, like ipads, or facebook, but we're not sure. That will be a great day!  This week has been good, trying to find more people as usual. But we got to stand in the circle while our investigator received the Priesthood yesterday, It was a great experience for him and his family, and for us as well. They both  are going to the Temple on Wednesday to do baptisms for the dead with the ward. That will be a very special day for them as well. They always mention how excited they are to go through the temple in a year, so I will definitely be making a trip back down for that!  It's important for every new convert to go do baptisms for the dead soon after they are baptized, that gives them a lot better chance of staying active, so I'm glad they can do that.
Well I appreciate the video of Charlie and can't believe he's almost walking now!  Thanks for everything you do for me. Love Elder Smith

Best Day of my Mission!

Hey! This weekend has been so great!! As you heard we had two baptisms. I baptized Krystal, and Elder Powers baptized Robert, except he messed up a couple of times and had to baptize him 3 times, it was so funny. But it was such a great experience, and words can't explain what it was like. We have been having game nights at the Hamtons house often, and tonight we and other missionaries will be teaching them more things. That has been the highlight of my week, actually of my mission!
I'm so happy we were able to bring their family the Gospel which will bless them the rest of their lives.
This upcoming week is going to be busy. It already is, we helped President Stuart in the mission presidency move into a new house, and I'm rushing to prepare district meeting for tomorrow morning. Wednesday is Temple Day, and p day for the rest of the day. Friday we have zone conference and we might go to a football game at the Bishop Gorman high school to support some investigators, not confirmed yet though. The game will be on national television though, haha. So it's an eventful week which is good.
Hope you have a great week, Love you all!

Tell Me A Story!

Family!
Oh my gosh! haha I'm sorry to laugh at your incidents that happened, but that email was pretty comical. I'm sorry to hear about your shoulder and foot Mom and you knee Dad, but you have to admit that was a little funny how you explained it (motorcycle accident). But that was unfortunate that you got banged up a little bit. I'm just glad it wasn't more serious and I'm glad your home ok. That was a cool place that you visited (Crater Lake).
As for me, I am saying here another transfer! I was so excited because we just set a date for baptism with our investigators on the 24th of the month. They are so excited and we are as well. It's amazing to see the change that has taken place in their lives since they first started to meet with us. Tonight we are teaching them some of the commandments and will teach the rest later this week, and then they will be ready. I get along with them really well because we talk about cars and dirt bikes, so we clicked immediately. I'm so glad I'm able to stay and finish teaching them. Hopefully we will get to teach the 8 year old from last week that wants to be baptized. So things are looking up and we're excited.
This morning we went and hiked through the caves again that we did last transfer, it was pretty fun. I sent a few pictures. Tonight we are getting a greenie in the apartment so we will do a little arranging and cleaning for that. Pretty exciting.
I hope you feel better soon Mom and Dad and have a great week! Thanks for the letters and pictures. Love Elder Smith

Family!
Thanks for the letters and emails, always enjoy them!
Well, we had some cool experiences this weekend. First off, we had a musical fireside last night, and a group called the Toa's came to sing to us. They are all Hawaiian and are so good at singing; I think they are on youtube. We all got to share some thoughts in-between songs seeing that it was a missionary based fireside. Our investigators were able to go as well, and they went to church, so that was great. They really enjoyed it, and hopefully today we will be able to set a baptismal date. We are having a big family home evening tonight with them and a lot of families in the ward. At church we also had a less active lade come that is starting to come back and she wants her 8 year old son baptized so we will start teaching him soon as well!  This morning was pretty cool too. So some Elders in my district have investigators that are form Hawaii, and they play football in high school. They are both 16 but are huge! They already have Boise state and Oregon state wanting to draft them for college football. So we went to watch them practice this morning at Bishop Gorman high school, apparently its a really nice expensive school here and there have been a lot of professional athletes drafted from there. We were sitting there watching and the owner of the UFC, came and sat by us haha! He's huge! And apparently his son is on the team as well. So that was the cool thing of the day!  Also another cool thing for dad, we have a member in the ward who owns a high end cabinet making company. By high end I mean he does all the work for celebrities here. He told us that Celine Dion was a middle class client of his, Middle Class!  Crazy huh! He showed us a lot of pictures of houses he's done and some of the work he's designed. It's really nice! He's a great guy.
Well, transfers are next Monday so we will find out what will happen this week, I'll be happy if I stay another one cause we're getting more work, but I'll also enjoy a change. So I'm looking forward to finding out.
Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad. Also I saw Randal Cunningham who played for the eagles. Love Elder Smith
