Family!
That is so great that President Hammond is your new stake president. I will try to write to President Murdock before he leaves to China.
Neisas baptism was so good on Thursday. We have another man who has committed to baptism on June22nd, and he was at church and liked it. We are now teaching a man who is Catholic and he has a lot of questions. He seems very interested.
On Saturday Elder Wilkerson had an investigator in is first area that got baptized a year ago in Lake Havasu (he was in the other mission). Well, she went through the temple for her first time Saturday and me and Elder Wilkerson were able to go and be with her for that. Wilkerson's companion had to stay in the area so I went instead! It was such a great day at the temple. We got to go through a session and watch her be sealed to her husband that passed away. It was the first time I've seen a sealing and it was Great!  I loved the opportunity I had to be there and see the result of missionary work, which is going to the temple. We also have our mission temple trip on the 31st and we're excited for that.
Mom, I have been craving Farr's huckleberry chocolates, Dad knows what I mean! Maybe just a couple of those would be great! Nobody here knows what huckleberry's are! It's sad...I just wish Farr's would send their candy her to Vegas, haha. Thanks I appreciate it.

South Stake District Zone

Words that Logan's mother taught him:
"Don't call me from the hospital!"

Wow, it is crazy that it's already Mothers day next week!  It still feels like it was just Christmas a week ago to me. I'm excited for next Sunday, and we were planning on doing it at about 2 Vegas time, so 3 Idaho time. I'll try to let you know if something changes. We will be going to our ward mission leader's home, brother Williams, he's so great! I absolutely loved the video of Lexie and Mason on the little 50!! I can't believe Lexie can control it now, with Mason on the back haha, that was great!  Thanks for the video Matt and Ashlie. And of course I loved the video of Charlie as well, he's getting bigger and bigger. I was proud of Payton when I heard he's Assistant to the President now, I know he will be the best one ever and I'm grateful for him and the example he sets for me. I hope all the family and grandparents are doing well, I pray for your health and safety.
So this week has been great, as usual!  We had a Zone conference on Friday and it was the last one we'll have with President Black, so it was a little bitter sweet but it was such a great meeting, talking about strengthening our faith, which went along perfect with experiences we've had this week. We have found a couple people who seem interested and we will work with them, but yesterday we were just waiting for sacrament to start and a girl walks in that said it was her first time at church and that she wanted to learn more. She found a Book of Mormon while she was camping and decided to read it because she was bored. Well she got interested in it and matched it up with our church and came. So we will be teaching her on Wednesday and we are very excited!  We also had the opportunity to teach a 10 year old girl to prepare her for baptism on the 16th of this month. We're excited about that as well!  Things are looking up more and more everyday as we continue to work and pray to find people that are prepared to accept the gospel, I know the Lord is very aware of what we are doing and is blessing us in this work and I'm so grateful for that.
Mom I think there might be some pics of me on the mission blog, maybe, you could check it our haha.
I haven't received an email from Alex yet so I wonder if he has the right email address, but I hope things go well with him. His MTC companion Elder Short is here in this mission, so I got to talk to him at Zone conference and tell him what was up, so we are both anxious to hear how things go, and looking forward to hearing from him.
I hope everyone has a great week, much love from sunny Las Vegas! Love Elder Smith
